Alligators in the sewers.

Alligators in the sewers

I caught my attention this legend that all are not looking very interesting, I found the bugs and cows and things chupacabras very true and this legend became important to me because I would love to i mean like a dream to travel to new york! and imagine if I encounter a crocodile! scary! So then I decided to do my essay of this legend, this is good and also very interesting because I like animals fascinate me uff I love them! Crocodiles are super nice with your skin so raspy and bitter well that I like are good but are not very nice with his eyes bulging and his big mouth these animals are very interesting.

Among there are some urban legends that originated long ago, this is the case of crocodiles in the sewers, staying even until today this urban legend appeared in the 30's.

Its origin is very simple, for a time in the U.S. began a stupid fashion, to have as pets alligators, brought from Florida, took care in terraria until beginning to reach a considerable size, at the time the animals lose their "charm" for constituted a danger and a high economic cost. That was the time to get rid of the "pet" and what better way to releasing the animal that had earned the love after time to the care of its owner.

Legend has it that the best way to free the animal was down the drain of the toilet. Small groups managed to survive these alligators in the sewers and waste feeding on rats and reproduced in the sewers.
After several generations the survivors were mutated alligators and lost their vision and their pigmentation, becoming blind and albino beings who ruled the depths of the city. Legend has it reached beyond third party narratives as some homeless people down to the sewers to shelter from the cold and even some local operator responsible for maintaining the sewers had disappeared allegedly eaten by these animals.

Legend fell under its own weight for no alligator or crocodile could survive the low winter temperatures in New York, also if you can survive the low temperatures, the action of bacteria that inhabit the sewers they would have caused diseases animals would have finished.

Also remember that the legend is centered in cities like New York, if there really such mutant animals would have found a copy and given that according to the descriptions alcazaban crocodiles disproportionate sizes.
How true is this legend?

Even though the legend is false if there are cases of release of crocodiles and alligators in areas outside their natural habitat, unscrupulous people released animals sometimes in marshes, dams and lakes, it is normal that these animals die at the beginning of the winter seasons because their natural environment is usually in tropical areas in Spain for example there have been cases where ponds have been found in medium-sized crocodiles and piranhas and other fish more "tropical". This implies not only a serious danger to people but also for the native fauna that meets a predator which has no defense system. In any case, these cases do not usually occur as soon explain the low temperatures prevent these species settle in habitats that are not yours.

Among the urban legends there are some that originate.
I think that this legend is false because, as there will be crocodiles in new york? is not even fair but that's the interesting thing about the legend, which is not very credible.
